Role: Peter Fairchild
CENTRAL PARK WEST, creation of Darren Starr (90120 and MELROSE PLACE), premiered on CBS television in the fall of 1995.
While performing in Sunset Boulevard in London, John came to the notice of the developers of Central Park West because a young relative of a
producer had his poster on her bedroom wall. John was offered the role of Peter
Fairchild, a charismatic attorney, who some saw as being modelled on JFK Junior.
Sadly, due to low ratings, only seven episodes aired before the show was put on hiatus for retooling. It resurfaced under the name CPW, airing another eight episodes in the summer of 1996.
Note: While working on Central Park West, John made his Broadway debut, teaming up once again with Betty Buckley in Sunset Boulevard at the Minskoff Theatre New York.
