Guests attending the Stonewall Equality Dinner at the Dorchester Hotel on Thursday, heard a keynote speech given by Prime Minister Tony Blair.  This followed Wednesday night's vote in the House of Lords to introduce new protections against discrimination for gay people.

John accompanied by his partner Scott, his manager Gavin Barker & Stuart Macdonald were in attendence. The dinner which is an annual fundraising event, raised over £230,000, the money will help Stonewall's ongoing campaigns, such as Education for All which tackles homophobia and homophobic bullying in schools

One of the auction prizes was a dinner with John and it raised £7,500.
